Backup error with a Dual-boot Ubuntu and Windows 8
I recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my machine running Dual Boot with Windows 8.
Ever since then, I have not been able to backup my Win 8 partition correctly.
It will almost finish and then fail, giving the error code 80784009, and nowhere else I've looked
has had that specific error code.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it's because I'm running a dual-boot setup, but I don't see why since none of the files I'm trying to backup are on the Ubuntu partition, I'm only backing up Windows Files and attempting a
system image.
I have already checked and made sure Windows Backup and Volume Shadow Copy services are running, and still get nothing.
Does anyone have any idea about what I can do to fix this, besides just nuking my Ubuntu install? Thanks in advance.

Although this may seem obvious, it is important to backup your files to an external backup medium before attempting a dual-boot install (or any other hard drive manipulation), in case your hard drive becomes corrupted during the process.
External hard drives,
USB flash drives, and multiple DVDs or CDs are all useful for this purpose.

- In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
